The parents of Ashya King (5) say that he is free from cancer after receiving proton beam treatment in Prague.
Last year Brett and Naghemeh King were arrested and detained for a number of days in Spain after taking their son from a hospital in Southampton against medical advice.
Mrs King told The Sun newspaper that the treatment, which is unavailable in the UK, saved his life and that it was a “miracle.”
She added: "If we had left Ashya with the NHS in Britain, he would not be with us today. He was too weak and would not have survived."
The toddler was finally allowed to undergo the treatment in Prague after a long legal battle fought by his parents. The family are reportedly planning to stay in Marbella for his recovery.
