RTE staff have been evacuated from the Montrose location after a reported bomb scare.
A spokesman for the Gardai confirmed to Her they are at the scene in Donnybrook, after staff had to be pulled off the air due to the evacuation.
Employees had to leave the TV and news building.
The radio building has not been affected by the scare, according to the Irish Sun.
The building was evacuated after an alleged bomb threat was issued around 4pm.
A statement from the RTE 2 Twitter account apologised to viewers for being unable to broadcast the RTÉ news2day programme.
Apologies, but due to circustances beyond our control we were unable to bring you @news2dayRTE this afternoon on #RTE2.

It read:
“Apologies, but due to circustances beyond our control we were unable to bring you
