In case you missed it, the Irish Women’s Rugby team beat New Zealand in an epic battle earlier today.
The ladies achieved a historic 17-14 win over four-time World Cup champions Black Ferns thanks to tries in each half from Heather O’Brien and Alison Miller.
The victory means that Ireland are on course to reach the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time, with thousands taking to Twitter to praise the heroic team.
The All Blacks also decided to add their congratulations… but not without a sly dig at Ireland’s male squad.
Magnanimous in defeat, @AllBlacks tweet congrats to @IRFURugby women’s team. Saucer of milk anyone? #COYGIG pic.twitter.com/Ht4ZjyYQnT
