Let’s just say, we’d probably have cried if it had happened to us. Dubliner Aoife Mul decided this year she was going all out for the day that’s in it… and none of her friends were safe. With a bit of photoshop magic, Ruth, Catherine and Maria were all tagged in a competition post from Aer Lingus. As luck would have it, they’d won their dream VIP trip to Fiji. Or so they were led to believe. Tagged on Facebook (because one of the girls had lost her phone and why would Aoife deprive a pal of such enjoyment), the girls started screaming in excitement… Until Maria had a realisation… Explaining how they uncovered the truth, Ruth explained: “She put it on Facebook and tagged us all because one of the girls has no phone at the moment so our only method of messaging is through Facebook! Maria twigged it by pure coincidence. She was suggesting we all go Fiji to volunteer during the summer and looked up flights last night- she realised that AerLingus don't fly to Fiji and pulled Aoife up on it!!! “ Took a while of screaming and crying with excitement. We reckon Aoife won April Fools this year! It's her best prank yet.” Unless Aer Lingus decide to take pity on the girls, we’re pretty sure Aoife is now out of the circle of trust… Thanks to victim Ruth Mathews for sending this our way!
