Postmortem carried out on body of 21-year-old woman found in Co Waterford
The body was discovered over the weekend.
A postmortem has been carried out on the body of a 21-year-old woman, who was discovered in Co Waterford.
The woman was found by walkers in the Ferrybank area just after 4pm on Saturday, July 3.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and the body was removed to University Hospital Waterford. The coroner was also notified at the time and a postmortem was scheduled to be carried out yesterday.
Gardaí told The Mirror: "Gardaí and emergency services were alerted following the discovery of the body of woman (21) shortly after 4pm on Saturday 3rd July 2021.
"The alarm was raised by people walking in the area at the time. Her body was removed to the mortuary at WUH where a post-mortem will be carried out.
"The coroner has been notified."
