Rachel McAdams appeared on The Today Show this week to promote new film A Most Wanted Man.
Thirty five-year-old Rachel plays a human rights lawyer, who gets involved with an immigrant seeking asylum in Germany. She stars alongside Robin Wright and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman in the thriller.
While she was on the show, host Matt Lauer showed her a video of her audition for The Notebook and the actress cringed while watching it, hiding her face in her hands.
"Why are you cringing?" Matt Lauer said after showing Rachel the video clip. "You got the part. It worked out well! Nicely done!"
When The Today Show host said he was touched by The Notebook, Rachel replied "(Many) men want to confess that they cried and it felt good," she added. "It's a lovely thing. Thank you".
It's good to know we're not the only ones to get a little teary at this film!
