Ashling Murphy was tragically killed after being attacked by Jozef Puska when she was out jogging in her hometown of Tullamore, Co. Offaly, on January 12th, 2022.
Tributes have been pouring in for Ashling on her fourth anniversary, with many people gathering to pay their respects. Ashling's loved ones will gather in Tullamore for a commemorative walk, which will retrace her final steps along the Grand Canal this afternoon.
As per The Independent, Ryan Casey led the tributes to Ashling today:
"One of the hardest things we all have to do in life is to try and turn the page to the next chapter, knowing that someone who meant so much to you won’t be in it.
“This does not mean they won’t be there to guide you, as there are things death can never touch, such as the bond, connection, and love we had for each other.
“I think about you, and I miss you every day, Ash. You made me the man that I am today, and you will always be my moral compass in whatever direction life takes me.
“Rest in peace Ash.”
We're keeping Ashling's loved ones in our thoughts today. She will never be forgotten.
