Ryanair released the following statement:
"We regret to advise customers that due to general strike in Italy on the 09th April, we have been forced to cancel flights.
Customers will be updated on their flight status via email and/or the mobile phone number provided at time of booking.
We ask customers to please monitor this notice which will be updated throughout the day. Ryanair sincerely apologises for any delays or inconvenience caused by these disruptions which are outside of our control."
