It’s our new favourite TV show and it looks like HBO’s Big Little Lies could be in line for a second series. The plot of Liane Moriarty’s book is all wrapped up in the 7 episodes of season 1, but lucky for fans, stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern have indicated they’d be open to another season.

Speaking to Vanity Fair Director Jean-Marc Vallèe was pretty adamant that this was a one season run, but now Moriarty herself has waded in and given us all a big pile of hope.
Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald Moriarty said there have been talks amongst the producers of the addictive drama about the possibility of a second season,
“I have started to think about ways this could continue,” she admitted. “I wouldn’t write a new book, but perhaps a new story, and then we’ll see what happens… there’s definitely places you can go”
Nothing concrete but talks are underway and that’s good enough for us… for now.
