Add us as a preferred source on Google »We've just said goodbye to the summer and have barely accepted that September is already here, but it looks like retailers are embracing the festive spirit four months in advance.
Some may think it's too early to even mention the C word, but others are very ready to start preparing for the festivities.
The supermarkets will soon be full of selection boxes, Christmas puddings, and bottles of Baileys, but can't we enjoy Halloween and autumn time first?

Apparently not as shoppers recently spotted Christmas stock appearing in their local supermarkets.
One X user posted a photo of tubs of Christmas sweets on display in her local Dunnes Stores and it started quite an intense debate online.
The woman shared a photo of tubs of Celebrations, Cadbury's Heroes and Roses on sale and wrote, "Dunnes Stores today & Mary hasn't even pee'd on the stick yet."
The tweet quickly went viral with many agreeing that it was far too early.
Others revealed they've spotted shops stocking Christmas stock since the summer.
One wrote, "Card Factory has Christmas cards, saw them yesterday."
"Tesco has been like this since June," another wrote.

"My local Tesco has them out for at least two weeks now. 117 sleeps to go," another said.
"They get smaller and go on sale earlier every year," one wrote.
It may be too early but is anyone else craving a few Roses now?
