Sinead O’Connor sparked concerns for her safety this past weekend when she took to Facebook to write an emotional plea to her children.
The singer claimed she had taken an overdose in an unnamed Irish hotel.
She was subsequently found "safe and sound" by authorities and taken to a hospital for treatment where she has since been using her Facebook page to discuss family members and accuse them of abandoning her.
In a post earlier this week Sinead begged family members to visit her.
She wrote; "Been missing you all for weeks. To hear that you were here and left was agony. Now I am utterly alone. Please. Please love me. Please come to the hospital and spend time with me and help fix all this. Please. I'm. begging you. Don't leave me so frightened and alone. Don't treat me like I'm not loved and am worth nothing. Please."
The page was taken down today when Sinead posted; "If a woman doesn't first succeed... She'll try, try again... iWantMyRightToDieAndIWillClaimIt."
A spokesperson for the singer has not commented on the incident.
We hope that Sinead is receiving the treatment she requires and we wish her a speedy recovery.
