Teenagers killed in tragic Galway accident named locally

Two teenagers died following the Galway accident.

The victims of a single-vehicle collision in Galway have been named locally.

The deceased have been named as Lucas Joyce (14) and Kirsty Bohan (14).

A single-vehicle collision occurred at 5.45 am on Monday, April 10th in Headford, Galway.

Gardaí confirmed that there were four teenagers in the car.

The other two teenagers remain in University Hospital Galway.

The children’s school Presentation College Headford is offering support to those affected.

It stated, “We have lost two treasured members of our school community today and two other members of our community are injured.”

“We pray for all the families and friends of those involved.

“We also pray for our own school community, that we may find the strength to support each other and carry on.

The school continued, “We ask for your support, prayers, and also the space to grieve as a school community.”

Presentation College Headford has opened the study hall to support pupils following this harrowing accident.

Witnesses urged to come forward following the road accident.

Gardaí continue to investigate the cause of the accident. They have asked witnesses to come forward.

Those with relevant dashcam footage should also make it available to Gardaí.
