Several protests have taken place against the bloody war.

Tens of thousands of people in Dublin, Belfast and London took to the streets today to protest against the war in Gaza, as the death toll rises to over 300.

The demonstrations called for ‘Freedom for Palestine’ and an end to the brutal warfare between Israel and Islamic group Hamas. Israel this week launched its strongest attack on Gaza since 2012, killing dozens of Palastinian residents in what President Benjamin Netanyahu has described as an attempt to make Hamas “pay a heavy price” for its previous rocket launches into the country.

Prior to the protest, the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign had said it was important that as many people as possible turn out to “show their solidarity with the Palestinians people under attack, their opposition to this latest round of brutal attacks on Gaza, and their anger at political inaction and media misreporting of the issue”.
