Legendary dancer Michael Flatley had his home broken into and burgled, by a gang who made off with precious rhino horns from his house in Cork.
Flatley and his wife Niamh, who were in the house at the time, raised the alarm when they heard the intruders in the house.
According to RTÉ News, it is believed that the rhino horns were the target of the robbers.
The two intruders managed to escape with the valuable horns before the Gardaí arrived, which are reportedly worth €250,000.
“Michael and his wife were extremely distressed”, a source told The Irish Mirror.
“The horns will be worth tens of thousands on the black market and are prized by gangs.”
No one is said to be injured following the raid, though the couple are said to be "shaken".
Gardaí in Fermoy in Cork have launched an investigation and are appealing for any information on suspicious activity in the area.
