The husband of an Irish woman who was brutally assaulted and murdered in Melbourne has paid a touching tribute on the second anniversary of her death.
Louth native Jill Meagher was raped and killed while walking home after a night out in Brunswick in 2012, with Adrian Bayley subsequently receiving a life sentence for the attack.
Her husband Tom has since been vocal about violence against women, writing an open letter on the subject earlier this year.
To commemorate the anniversary of the loss of his wife, the Dublin man posted a heartbreaking tribute to his Facebook page on Monday, describing Jill as “a true original”.
