"Deeply disturbed and saddened by the killing of Irish citizen and journalist Pierre Zakrzewski and one of his colleagues today. My thoughts are with their families, friends and fellow journalists.
"We condemn this indiscriminate and immoral war by Russia on #Ukraine."
Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst wrote: "I don't know what to say. Pierre was as good as they come. Selfless. Brave. Passionate. I'm so sorry this happened to you."

Zakrzewski is the second member of the press to be killed in Ukraine in recent days.
Over the weekend, US journalist and filmmaker Brent Renaud tragically died in north of the country after being shot by Russian forces.
