The long weekend is just around the corner and we're more than looking forward to it.
However, social welfare recipients are being urged to take note of payment date changes ahead of the October bank holiday.
Multiple social welfare payments will now be paid earlier than expected because of the long weekend.
All banks and post offices will be closed on October 28th due to the bank holiday.
This means social welfare payments due on October 28th will now be paid on Friday, October 25th.
Welfare and pension payments due for collection on Monday, 28th October can be collected from Friday, 25th October.
Any social welfare payments due in accounts on October 28th will also be paid into accounts on October 25th.
The following week will see many benefit from the double payments introduced in the budget.
From November 4th, four cost-of-living support payments will be made.
The payments include the Working Family Payment, the €400 Disability Support Grant, and €300 payment for households in receipt of the Fuel Allowance.
Parents can look forward to the first of two Double Child Benefit Payments that week too.
