It was a year ago this week that Dublin girl Triona Priestley lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

The 15-year old came to media attention when the hashtag #SongForTri began trending online, after her family and friends at Castleknock Community College started an online campaign to make Triona’s wish to speak to Ed Sheeran come true.

Thankfully, Ed got the message just in time, singing Triona’s favourite song to her over the phone as she took her last breaths.

Marking their sister’s first anniversary, brothers Ciaran, Colm, Eoin and Aidan took a collection of video diaries and messages they uncovered from Triona’s phone, laptop and tablet over the past year and made this beautiful tribute to their sister.

Showing her sheer strength and determination, Triona reassures that despite her CF, she likes who she is, and appreciated everything she had:

“I appreciate so much in life. Like breathing. Every breath I acknowledge, I cherish”.

The teen then asks people to realise the importance of organ donation – and the gift of giving someone else a second chance at life.

This is one incredible tribute to one remarkable young girl.
