The entirety of Ireland has been hit with weather warnings as Storm Amy has been named by the UK Met Office.
The storm is set to impact the Emerald Isle on Friday (3 October), bringing "strong to near gale force" winds.
A Met Éireann Status Yellow wind warning is scheduled to take effect from midday to midnight on Friday.
It reads: "Storm Amy: Strong to near gale force and gusty southwesterly winds.
"Potential impacts: Difficult travelling conditions; debris, loose objects displaced; some fallen trees possible."
The UK Met Office has also issued a similar Yellow wind warning for all six counties in Northern Ireland that is set to last between 4pm on Friday and 6am on Saturday.
14 counties have also been hit with a Status Yellow rain warning from Met Éireann for Thursday, 2 October.
This earlier alert is scheduled for 6am to 8pm that day. It applies to the counties of Cavan, Donegal and Longford, as well as the provinces of Connacht and Munster.
