She spoke to the publication last night and said: “Ben has been friends with me for years, so I’m fully aware of what’s going on.
“I’m aware that Una is making a statement, I spoke to her last week.
“I won’t be releasing a statement to anyone and I won’t be talking about anything.”
The news was confirmed by a spokesperson last Friday - just weeks after they celebrated their recent anniversary.
The pair had reportedly been due to move to the United States with their two children in a few days.
The singer is now said to have returned to Ireland with her children.
A representative for The Saturdays singer confirmed the split, as they told The Sun:
“I can confirm Una and Ben have separated and she’s in Ireland with her mum and kids, but there will be no further comment to make.”The publication report that Ben is still planning on making the move to New York.
