A woman in her 60s has tragically passed away after an accident occurred on a farm in Co Laois.
Gardaí have confirmed the incident happened on Monday, with emergency services being rushed to the scene.
The woman was fatally injured in the workplace incident at the farm, which was located in the Portlaoise area, and was pronounced dead at the scene on Monday evening.
The Health and Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified, a spokesperson for the Gardaí Siochana added and the farm has been preserved for an investigation.
