A woman has revealed on ITV This Morning that she was abused more than 300 times in her sleep by her husband.
Sarah Tetley told the morning show how she woke up in 2013 to find her husband Charlie molesting her at the time.
Sarah reported her husband to police and he was arrested. It was only after this that she found a collection of videos.
The abuse, which started when Sarah was just 22, was filmed by her husband, which showed her unconscious at the time of the attacks.
The videos showed the full extent of the abuse, including household objects he used to attack his wife in her sleep.
Speaking to host Phillip Schofield, Sarah said:
“In a couple of the videos I watched you couldn’t hear me breathing and I didn’t really appear to be moving at all. I did look like I was dead in some of them.
“A lot of the videos weren’t just of him but of household objects and things he would decide to do with those. It was quite disturbing,’ she added.”
Sarah said she still isn’t sure if she was drugged as the test results were ‘inconclusive’.
Police recovered 316 videos from Mr Tetley’s computer. Tetley pleaded guilty to 26 counts of rape and assault, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Sarah said she spoke out about the abuse she suffered to encourage other women to ask for help if they are experiencing any signs of abuse in their relationship:
“If in anyway you’re being abused you should tell someone – even if it’s just mentally – whatever kind of abuse it is.”
