A woman has been rushed to hospital after an incident in Dublin city centre.
It is believed she was targeted in St. Stephen's Green yesterday afternoon.
According to Dublin Live, the woman is aged in her 50s. It is understood she was attacked shortly after 4pm.
She has been taken to St. James's Hospital for treatment, Gardaí confirmed.
An investigation is now underway Gardaí issued a statement following the assault.
"Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred in Stephens Green at approximately 4:15 pm yesterday afternoon.
"A female in her 50s was taken to St James Hospital to be treated for her injuries. No arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing."
