YES! Met Éireann predict that we’re in for a rather gorgeous day

Olivia Hayes

Bring it.

For far too long we have battled with really crap weather – the rain in May and the cold temperatures in June.

While it’s technically summer, it’s not exactly summer and we can’t enjoy our pints on the barge or al fresco dining until the sun decides to grace us.

Week after week if we’d get any glimpse of sun we whipped out the sun cream and had lunch outside, but an hour later it would just turn again and we’d be back to wearing our winter jackets.

Well, today is looking much better and while we don’t want to jinx it (please GOD don’t jinx it), we’d say this might be the start of some good weather.

Met Éireann said:

“Today will start dry in many areas with sunshine. There will be showers in the west and north this morning and these will become widespread this afternoon. In the evening the showers will become isolated again with further spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in moderate southwest or west winds.”

Tomorrow is looking even better:

“Apart from a few isolated showers, Friday will be a dry day with long spells of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees in light variable breezes.”
