The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association has announced that it has raised €1.4m through the Ice Bucket Challenge.
The charity revealed today that the social media craze has seen a huge boost in fundraising, with a further €400,000 being donated in the past week.
It is estimated that over 500,000 people have taken part in the initiative so far and the IMNDA today released a ‘thank you’ video, vowing to outline how all the the funds are spent on their website to ensure a transparent process.
