The actress was dropped from the Channel 4 soap.
Former Hollyoaks actress Sarah Jayne Dunn has thanked her followers for the massive outpouring of support since revealing she was sacked from the show after refusing to stop posting photos on OnlyFans.
The 40-year-old soap star had been appearing on Hollyoaks since 1996 – playing the role of Mandy Richardson – but bosses recently asked her to leave after she began posting adult content on the fansite. In an interview with The Sun, Dunn explained her decision not to back down amid the dispute, “This is a decision I’ve thought long and hard about, not one I’ve taken lightly or on a whim, it’s about taking back control, about empowerment and confidence and having full power over my choices.”
“I love doing photoshoots, always have always will, it’s how I got into the acting industry,” she went on to say, “I’ve been lucky enough to travel to some pretty amazing places for photoshoots since being 17, that being said I’ve never felt in control, of the content or of the finances.”

Taking to her Instagram stories this morning, the actress and model thanked her followers for the overwhelming support saying, “It’s been a manic week, but I wanted to say thank you for all of your support. I’ve been so overwhelmed by the response and by how amazing you’ve all been and how reassuring it is that you’ve got my back. It’s lovely and I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
In a statement issued this week, a Hollyoaks spokeswoman said: “Hollyoaks is a youth-facing drama with many young viewers, who follow our cast closely, both in the soap and outside of it. We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites.
Dunne’s profile is still active on OnlyFans, with access available from £11 per month.
