Zayn Malik appears to have turned on his former One Direction bandmate following comments the singer made last night in Las Vegas.
Much of the world has been raving over the return of Harry Styles with the release of his new song ‘Aperture’ as well as the announcement of a new album and tour.
However, while plenty of fanfare has been made over the singer’s return, there was also a fair bit of outrage over ticket prices, an increasingly common discourse in the music world.
Tickets for his Together, Together world tour were snapped up in haste during presale with tickets ranging from £44.10 to £466.25 (including fees) with a per order handling fee of £2.95.
Meanwhile, Harry will be donating £1 from every ticket sold to LIVE Trust, a charity protecting, expanding and supporting grassroots music in the UK.
Scalpers are already trying to sell tickets for thousands.
In the wake of all this, former bandmate Zayn Malik made a subtle dig at Harry during one of his gigs last night in Las Vegas.
Pausing between songs, Zayn asked: “Who’s from Vegas? Who’s from elsewhere? I just want to say a big big thank you for being here with me tonight…. hopefully the ticket prices weren’t too high – just saying, anyway!”
The dig let to gasps from the crowd before others began clapping and jeering.

Members of Zayn’s band were also seen cheering on his comments before the singer asked if fans would like to hear another song.
The clip was shared on X with one social media user calling it a ‘low blow’ from Zayn.
Another person joked: “Oh I love shady Zayn.”
Meanwhile another person commented: “What a d*** thing to say.”
The relationship between the former One Direction members is well reported to not always have been smooth sailing, notably with Harry.
In a 2017 interview with US Weekly, Zayn said: “To be honest, I never really spoke to Harry even when I was in the band. So I didn’t really expect that much of a relationship with him.”
