She has been surrounded by engagement rumours for a while but yesterday Scarlett Johansson sent the rumour mill into overdrive when she was spotted on the red carpet with a giant sparkler on her ring finger.

While she denied recently that she was even considering walking down the aisle again, multiple sources are now reporting that she IS engaged to her boyfriend Romain Dauriac.

 

This was the ring Scarlett was wearing at the Venice Film Festival this week.

A rep for the actress apparently told JustJared.com: “I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven’t chosen a date for the wedding.”

Another source told People magazine that the couple, who have only been dating for nine months, are “engaged and very happy.”

This will be Scarlett’s second marriage. She was previously married to actor Ryan Reynolds however they split in 2010 and Ryan went on to marry his Green Lantern co-star Blake Lively.
