Here Are the Winners From This Year’s British Soap Awards

There were some interesting outfit choices!

The British Soap Awards took place on Saturday night in London and this evening they were televised for viewers to see who won each category.

It’s safe to say EastEnders won big at this year’s awards, taking home eight gongs in total.

The London-based soap won Best Soap, Best Single Episode, Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale) won Best Actor and Kellie Bright (Linda Carter) received the award for Best Actress.

The late Anne Kirkbride, who played one of Corrie’s most-loved characters Deirdre, was honoured with a posthumous award for Best Scene.

Best Actress – EastEnders – Kellie Bright (Linda Carter)

Best Newcomer – Doctors – Jessica Regan (Niamh Donoghue)

Best Drama Performance – EastEnders – Kellie Bright (Linda Carter)

Best On-Screen Partnership – EastEnders – Laurie Brett (Jane Beale) and Adam Woodyatt (Ian Beale)

Scene of the Year – Emmerdale – Donna’s Goodbye

Villian of the Year – Hollyoaks Jeremy Sheffield (Patrick Blake)

Best Comedy Performance – Coronation Street – Sally Dynevor

Best Young Performance – Emmerdale – Amelia Flanagan (April Windsor)

Outstanding Achievement (Off Screen) – EastEnders writer Rob Gittins
