This documentary about the Met Gala looks incredible

We can't wait to see it!

We’re dying to see it.

The Met Gala is a time where the world’s biggest and most fashionable celebrities go all out and showcase some of their most unusual, memorable outfits.

While social media gives us a hint of the exiting night, we’ve never truly known what exactly goes on at the event or just how much preparation goes into it.

This new documentary called The First Monday in May focuses behind the scenes at the annual Costume Institute exhibition and gala at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art show.

It follows the creation of “China: Through The Looking Glass,” the most attended fashion exhibition in the history of The Costume Institute at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the 2015 Met Gala, the star-studded fundraiser.

It centres around the iconic Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine and Met Gala chair, and Andrew Bolton.

The trailer alone makes it look absolutely incredible, from the passion, to the stress to to the politics.

Even the one-liners that illustrate the volume of the show.

“Rihanna, we can’t lose her, we just didn’t realise how expensive..” For example.

Celebrities such a Rihanna, Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Jennifer Lawrence all feature in the film as well as the worlds biggest fashion designers.

The First Monday in May opens at selected cinemas on September 30 and will be available to download from their website.
