What Kate’s fave designer has to say about Meghan’s wedding dress

OUCH.

Cathy Donohue

Uhoh.

There’s been a lot of talk about the royal wedding in recent days and of course, the wedding dress Meghan Markle wore was a huge topic of conversation.

For the ceremony, Meghan chose a bespoke Givenchy gown, a silk cream dress with a boat neck and three-quarter length sleeves designed by the fashion house’s creative director Claire Waight-Keller.

Katy Perry previously criticised the dress and now Emilia Wickstead, one of Kate Middleton’s favourite designers has shared her thoughts.

The London-based designer reportedly said that Meghan’s wedding dress is very similar to one of her designs.

In fact, The Daily Mail reports that she said it was “identical” and other commentators are believed to have made the same comparison, according to Emilia.

That’s not all either for she also believes that the gown didn’t fit the former Suits actress perfectly.

“If you choose a simple design the fit should be perfect. Her wedding dress was quite loose”.

Whether you were a fan of the dress or not, there’s no denying that Meghan was glowing with happiness on the day of her wedding as was Prince Harry and the pictures speak for themselves.

It might not be to your personal taste but she was happy and isn’t that all that matters?!
