OFFICIAL: Season 2 of The Young Offenders starts on RTÉ on November 11

Set record because Conor and Jock are back!

With a few more months of ‘relative’ adulthood and the prospect of a baby on the way, you would be forgiven for thinking that Conor and Jock might be more mature, sophisticated, and grown up in Season 2 of The Young Offenders.

Na, you’re wrong boi!

As we saw in the latest trailer for the new episodes, the lads are still stealing bikes, driving Sergeant Healy mad, shoplifting from stores, trying to get Billy Murphy in trouble, stripping off in public, being incredibly awkward around girls, scrapping, and just acting the fool.

We hope they never change.

As stated previously, the show will be airing first on BBC3 and the iPlayer on 3 November. However, RTÉ have now confirmed to JOE that the Season 2 opener will be shown on Monday, 11 November at 9.30pm on RTÉ 2.

In terms of the official synopsis, the brief teaser states: “With a new arrival on the way, Jock is getting anxious and Principal Walsh isn’t helping. But a challenge to Jock brings about surprising results.”

A few weeks ago, JOE went down to Cork to see the new season being filmed and the cast had plenty of interesting things to say about how the comedy stylings have slightly changed and the general madness that fans can expect.

Trust us, you won’t be disappointed.

Keep an eye on JOE in the coming few days for interviews with Alex Murphy (Conor), Chris Walley (Jock), Hilary Rose (Mairead), and PJ Gallagher (Principal Barry Walsh).

Here’s a sneak peak at what’s in store.
