Winter might technically be over, but try telling that to the snow, hail and freezing winds!
And as well as wreaking havoc with our wardrobe choices, the weather is also wreaking havoc with our skin. But don't despair just yet, because we've picked out some of our favourite skin saviours that will transform tired and dry skin, tame breakouts and soothe spots in an instant.
Cetaphil Gentle Cleaner
Cetaphil is a bit of a beauty secret here in Ireland but in the US it’s a beauty staple. Perfect for sensitive skin, this cleanser can be used as a face wash or for an extra special scrub, why not apply it to your face, like you would a regular cleanser, and wipe off with a hot muslin cloth. Your pores won’t know what has hit them.

La Roche Posay Citiplast Baume
If you haven’t discovered this cult product, get on it immediately! Citiplast Baume not only cares for sensitised, irritates skin, it also shrinks enlarged pores, gives skin a gorgeous plumped up feel and is a great overnight treatment where you’ll actually notice a change after only one use. Seriously, we can’t recommend this product enough.

Aveeno Dermexa Soothing Emolient Cream
Itchy, flakey skin that is prone to eczema-type breakouts can flare up in the cold weather so it’s important to make sure you’re caring for your skin all year round – even the bits that are covered! This intensive moisturiser helps restore and maintain the skins natural barrier without being greasy and can even be used on babies.

Aveeno Dermexa Soothing Emolient Cream, €12.10
Neutrogena Visibly Pore Clear & Shine Daily Scrub
Enlarged pores and oily patches are hard to keep in check if you’re slathering rich moisturisers on your skin in the bad weather but this refreshing scrub helps banish the above and it’s gentle enough to use every morning.

Neutrogena Visibly Pore Clear & Shine Daily Scrub, €5.58
