Well now, pumpkin spice latte lovers need to up their game, as there is a brand new hair trend inspired by the seasonal drink sweeping Instagram.

Eagle-eyed celeb-watchers will have noticed a move away from bright blondes, and towards richer, reddish tones of late.

Celebs are favouring darker, richer tones.

Blake Lively, Sam Faiers and Katy Perry have all hopped on the bronde/auburn wagon, so it was only a matter of time before Instagram did too.

Two new hair colours are emerging as popular favourites - namely Pumpkin Spice and Gingersnap.

Laura Estroff, head colorist at Kennaland Salon in Brooklyn, NYC, explained to Cosmopolitan: "We're seeing that pumpkin spice hair has more copper undertones whereas gingersnap tends to fall under the category of brunette with red undertones."
