Starbucks has officially taken over the world.

As the leaves start to drop, so do countless Pumpkin Spice Latte selfies.

You’re apparently nobody until you’ve clutched the Starbucks fave while wearing a woolly beanie and hashtagged #loveautumn #favetimeofyear.

Well now, pumpkin spice latte lovers need to up their game, as there is a brand new hair trend inspired by the seasonal drink sweeping Instagram.

Eagle-eyed celeb-watchers will have noticed a move away from bright blondes, and towards richer, reddish tones of late.

Celebs are favouring darker, richer tones.

Blake Lively, Sam Faiers and Katy Perry have all hopped on the bronde/auburn wagon, so it was only a matter of time before Instagram did too.

Two new hair colours are emerging as popular favourites – namely Pumpkin Spice and Gingersnap.

Laura Estroff, head colorist at Kennaland Salon in Brooklyn, NYC, explained to Cosmopolitan: “We’re seeing that pumpkin spice hair has more copper undertones whereas gingersnap tends to fall under the category of brunette with red undertones.”

If you do decide to take the plunge and go for a coppery tone this Autumn, for the love of god don’t forget to hashtag #pumpkinspicehair/ #gingersnaphair.

Or we’d be mort for you.
