Calling all movie/cosmetics fans… the latest make up trend from Max Factor is literally out of this world.

For the first time, the iconic Star Wars film franchise has joined forces with Max Factor on a global cosmetics partnership, inspiring six striking beauty looks and limited-edition make up collections coinciding with the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

With hundreds of millions of female fans of the series, brand representatives say “the partnership offers Star Wars an opportunity to connect with women in a new and different way, enabling them to celebrate their fandom through the expressive power of makeup”.

Of course Max Factor is a brand long associated with the movie industry, since its launch in 1909.

The collection takes its inspiration from the film themes, most notably “the transformation of key characters as they embark on epic journeys” and “the exploration of the duality of mankind: the light and dark sides in everyone”.

Six looks have been created to celebrate the partnership. created by P&G’s Global Creative Design Director Pat McGrath.

To celebrate the campaign, Max Factor will be releasing a limited edition collection of products with brand new shades, only available for the duration of the campaign.

Esi Eggleston-Bracey, Vice President of Global Cosmetics at P&G said: “This is a unique partnership on so many levels, and we’re very excited to start rolling it out this month. Makeup is all about transformation and self-expression, and – with the looks inspired by the film – Max Factor will celebrate the gorgeous, awe-inspiring glamour of each look, helping women recreate this glamour themselves. Star Wars is without a doubt the most talked-about and anticipated movie release of the year, and we’ve created a campaign that is unique, striking, and true to the Star Wars story.”

Episode VII in the Star Wars Saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, opens in theatres on December 18th, 2015.
