Actress Sarah Goldberg of 7th Heaven and Judging Amy fame has died. The 40-year-old Chicago native passed away in her sleep on September 27th her mother told the Chicago Sun-Times.
It is believed that a heart ailment was the cause of death, though this could not be determined by an autopsy.
“She went to sleep and didn’t wake up,” her mother told the newspaper.
Goldberg is most recognized for her character Sarash Glass Camden, the wife of Matt – the oldest son in
7th Heaven. She starred in the drama from 2002 to 2006. She also played the role of Dr. Heather Labonte on
Judging Amy.

The actress is known for her roles in
CSI,
Without a Trace, and as a graduate student in 2001’s
Jurassic Park III. She got her break in acting by appearing as a regular in
My Best Friend’s Wedding.
The news of her death comes in the wake of
reports yesterday that saw
7th Heaven’s main actor, Stephen Collins, becoming the focus of a police investigation after allegedly admitting to molesting children.
All reruns of the hit show have been stopped and Stephen Collins has been axed from the upcoming sequel
