It seems as though Countdown star and 2013 Strictly Come Dancing contestant Rachel Riley might be about to make a major career move.
The maths whizz is rumoured to be taking over from fellow Strictly contestant Susanna Reid as the new BBC Breakfast presenter.
Channel 5 news presenter Emma Crosby, news presenter Louise Minchin and current relief host Sally Nugent are also contenders for Susanna’s space on the red sofa.
Susanna is moving to ITV, where she will present Good Morning Britain alongside Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher.
A source told The Mirror: ‘Rachel ticks a lot of boxes and is at that stage in her career where she might be ready to try something new.
‘After losing Susanna, the BBC know they have to hit back and ensure they can cling on to viewers.’
