Sir Ian McKellen has called on the Irish people to vote yes in the marriage equality referendum.
The Lord Of The Rings star took to Twitter last night to encourage people to back the campaign for same-sex marriage when it comes before the polls on May 22nd.
His comments come days after Game Of Thrones actor Aidan Gillen and Mrs Brown's Boys creator Brendan O'Carroll spoke out in solidarity with the Yes campaign.
