‘People were mad’ – Olivia Wilde opens up about her relationship with Harry Styles

Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles dated for around two years

In a new interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Wilde said their relationship "really did upset people."

She said it was a crazy experience, but they never let the public's fascination with their relationship taint it.

"It was crazy. I don’t know how much I understand it yet. I understand it had very little to do with me. People were f****** p***ed.

"I think it also had a lot to do with the kind of parasocial relationship people have with him, which is a burden that is very weighty and not something I envy. He carries it with grace," she added.

"I think that is an enormous responsibility that all those stars have to carry, and it’s impossible. It’s wild because we had the loveliest relationship, so sweet and beautiful, and really very domestic and lovely," she explained.

Wilde said she existed in a "little bubble" during her relationship with Styles.

"The judgment never got in, which was a miracle, a testament to us making that happen. I think that people were mad. It was almost like the happiness made them mad," she shared.

Wilde and Styles ended their relationship in 2022 after nearly two years together.

Harry Styles is now engaged to actress Zoe Kravitz.
