Actor Jerry Stiller has passed away, aged 92.

Ben Stiller confirmed the news today, stating that his father had sadly died of natural causes.

“I’m sad to say that my father, Jerry Stiller, passed away from natural causes,” he said on Twitter.

“He was a great dad and grandfather, and the most dedicated husband to Anne for about 62 years. He will be greatly missed. Love you Dad.”

Jerry, who was best known for his roles in Seinfeld and The King of Queens, had also starred alongside his son in 2001’s Zoolander.

The veteran comedy actor began his career in the 1960s. He started performing as a duo in Stiller and Meara alongside wife Anne Meara, appearing on many variety shows across the 60s and 70s.

Later, Stiller starred as Frank Costanza, the father of George Costanza, in Seinfeld from 1993 to 1998.

He had originally planned to retire from acting in the late 1990s, but Kevin James convinced him to join the cast of The King of Queens. He played the role of Arthur Spooner in the hit sitcom until 2007.

Jerry and Anne married in 1954 and were together until her passing in 2015.

Jerry is survived by his two children, Amy and Ben, and two grandchildren.
