Actress Handcuffed By Police After Kissing Her Husband

Django Unchained actress Daniele Watts has said she was "handcuffed and detained" by police who allegedly believed she was a prostitute.  "Today I was handcuffed and detained by 2 police officers from the Studio City Police Department after refusing to agree that I had done something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place," the actress wrote in a Facebook post about the incident which happened on Thursday. Reports claim that two officers approached Daniele and her husband Brian James Lucas after they were seen kissing in the front seat of their car. When officers demanded that the couple show identification, Lucas complied but Danielle refused saying she was under no obligation to produce it, according to The Guardian. Daniele (28), who played a slave in Django Unchained, said she was humiliated by the incident which happened in the Studio City neighbourhood of Los Angeles. The incident happened on Thursday Photographs posted to her Facebook page show the actress with a bloody injury to her wrist which she said was caused by the handcuffs. The Los Angeles police department at first said it had no record of the incident, because no arrest was made. On Sunday, a spokeswoman told The Guardian: “We are looking into it and hope to have more information possibly on Monday.” (Main image via Facebook)
