Andrew Brady comments on rumours surrounding his split from Caroline Flack

Andrew Brady has spoken publicly for the first time since he split from Caroline Flack.

The couple announced this week that they had ended their relationship, just three months after they got engaged. Both of them shared a statement on social media to confirm the news, wishing the other "all the best in the future". Soon after, it was claimed the Love Island host had shared the reason behind the split on a personal Facebook page. The post said that Andrew had been planning "a meeting to go on Celebs Go Dating and then ha[d] a meeting the day AFTER you break up." And now the former Celebrity Big Brother contestant has spoken about the split - and admitted he did have a meeting for Celebs Go Dating.  The post on his Instagram stories called it a "crazy, irrational" thing he did. He said:

"I never comment on media speculation or stories. But in this instance I feel it necessary to.

"Yes I had a meeting (with) Celebs Go Dating after Caroline and I had separated. However, this was wrong. When someone has no money and nothing to lose they tend to do crazy irrational things.

"I am ashamed and trying to move on with my life. Please would you respect mine and Caroline's privacy and not try and speculate on who said or did what."
