Apparently Meghan hated the smell of St George’s Chapel and yeah, same tbh

Hardly a horrific request, is it?

When a building is old, there tends to be a lot of smells around the place.

Some of those smells are grand, and some of those smells are not grand, and to be honest it’s the not grand smells that people are more than likely going to have an issue with when it comes to weddings.

In this case, the smell was just a bit musty, be honest.

And apparently, Meghan wasn’t the biggest fan of that musty smell. Can you honestly blame her, like?

Meghan and Harry

The Daily Mail reports that before Meghan strolled up the aisle to marry Prince Harry, she complained about the musty smell in St George’s Chapel.

The former actor asked whether it would be possible to “spritz” the chapel so it didn’t stink when the guests arrived, but apparently, palace staff gave her a firm no.

If it’s good enough for the Queen, it should be good enough for Meghan, was the response – which is absolutely unfair because the Queen’s pretty old, she’s probably used to smelling musty buildings.

A source told the publication:

“Apparently Meghan didn’t like the smell of the chapel, which, as you would expect, is a little musty.

“It’s not unpleasant at all, though. It just smells how you would expect an old building to smell. And that’s something the Royal Family are particularly used to.”

They went on to say that Meghan’s office in Kensington Palace made a request to the Lord Chamberlain’s office in Buckingham Palace asking if the place could atomised with “spritzer guns” before her big day.

She was told no.

“Royal Household staff stepped in and told her office politely, but firmly, that this was the Queen’s Chapel and it simply wasn’t appropriate.

“I don’t believe they said no because they thought it could affect the chapel in any way. It was simply the principle of the thing.”

Let the woman have a nice smelling wedding, Jesus.

This comes after multiple reports that Meghan has been “difficult and demanding” since becoming a member of the royal family, when really in actual fact it’s probably the royals who are too uptight for her.

God forbid your wedding doesn’t smell, like.
