Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis share clip of kids in the bath after starting the great bathing debate of 2021

At least they can laugh at themselves.

After sparking what we like to call the great bathing debate of 2021, it turns out that Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis do actually bathe their children.

Ashton shared a hilarious clip of bathtime at their home after the pair started a celebrity wide debate about whether or not they bathe their children.

Taking to Instagram, the couple can be seen with their daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 6, and son Dimitri Portwood, 4, during bathtime.

As the kids start signing in the shower, Ashton shouts: “You’re putting water on the children?! Are you trying to melt them?!”

Trying to hold back her laughter but failing terribly, Mila responds: “We’re bathing our children.”

Shouting back, Ashton says: “That’s like the fourth time this week!”

Agreeing with her husband that “it’s too much”, Ashton adds another point saying: “Their body oils are gonna be destroyed! What are you trying to do?”

Trying to keep it together for the sake of the video, Mila succumbs to her laughter and clearly finds the whole thing absolutely hysterical.

Last month, the couple, along with some celebrity pals, started an internet-wide debate when they revealed that they don’t believe in washing their children with soap every day.

Speaking on Dax Shepard and Monica Padman’s Armchair Expert podcast, the couple agreed with Dax’s opinion that you “should not be getting rid of the natural oil on your skin with a bar of soap every day.”

Instead of this, he advised that you should wash them only with water, which Ashton chimed in with: “Now, here’s the thing: If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

After this, celebrities across the board joined in, giving their take on the topic with Jake Gyllenhaal saying that “more and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times.

“I do also think that there’s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.”

And on the other side of the debate, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tweeted that he showers more than once a day, saying: “Nope, I’m the opposite of a ‘not washing themselves’ celeb.

“Shower (cold) when I roll outta bed to get my day rollin’. Shower (warm) after my workout before work. Shower (hot) after I get home from work. Face wash, body wash, exfoliate and I sing (off key) in the shower.”
