Beyoncé pulled a surprise single drop when her new track, Formation appeared on February 6th. She then proceeded to KILL IT at last weekend’s Superbowl.

Shortly afterwards the legend announced her Formation world tour would begin in April 2016 in Miami and continue on until the final date in Brussels at the end of July, with an Irish date on July 9th.

Obviously, this tour is going to be absolutely massive and is sure to be a profitable one for the megastar. However, she’s going to be rallying fans to help support a town in Michigan that has been hit with a shocking water crisis.

The Los Angeles Times reports that the town authorities in Flint, Michigan decided to switch its water supply to the nearby River Flint which was found to contained toxic amounts of the chemical lead.

Terrifyingly, high levels of the chemical have been detected in local children’s blood. Lead is linked to a number of problems including learning disabilities, and the possible legal violations are currently being investigated by the FBI.

Her team announced the collaboration in a press release:

‘Fans will be given the opportunity to participate in Beyoncé’s #BeyGOOD initiative supporting local United Way programs and the continued work surrounding the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. United Way of Genesee County has been at the forefront of distributing thousands of filtration pitchers, faucet mount filters, replacement cartridges and truckloads of water to underserved populations to address immediate needs in Flint Michigan.’

She joins other celebrities including Cher, who donated thousands of bottles of water to the struggling town.
