There will apparently be ‘big trouble’ if Meghan Markle breaks this one royal Christmas tradition

As we all know, Meghan Markle is set to spend her second Christmas in Sandringham with the royal family. However, it will be her first Christmas as an official member of the royal family! So it will be a pretty exciting, and probably a bit stressful. Being royal isn't all crowns and tiaras; there are rules and traditions that date back hundreds of years. And Christmas is no exception. In fact, even the process of gift giving is pretty strict in the royal family. And according to Royal expert Martin Townsend, Meghan needs to ensure she follows the gifting rules. "They have present giving and they are not allowed to give serious presents." We kind of love that by the way! "Any suggestion that Meghan will give away cashmere jumpers or anything like that – if she makes that mistake she’s in big trouble." "Everyone has to give away jokey little presents. That’s the rules. There’s a lot to remember for her." And if some of the rumours are true, the family take their joke gifts very seriously.
