Bill Cosby is counter-suing the woman who is accusing him of sexual assault.
According to BBC News it is claimed in the filing that the lawyer of Judith Huth, Marc S Strecker, approached Cosby’s representatives and demanded $250,000 to stop her from filing her claim.
It is also alleged that Huth, who is one of many women accusing the television star of sexual assault, attempted to sell her story to a newspaper 10 years ago.
Cosby is seeking $33,000 for legal fees from Huth, whose claims he says are “absolutely false”, and Strecker.
Huth alleges that in 1974, she was given alcohol and forced to perform a sex act on Cosby at the Playboy Mansion. She was 15 years old at the time.
She is seeking damages for “psychological damage and mental anguish” which she alleges have only recently been linked to the incident.
Cosby (77) is facing a number of allegations dating back to the 1970s.
