He might be more used to strutting on stage that playing to the camera but Bruce Springsteen is set to make his acting debut in a Netflix drama.
The Born In The USA singer has made cameos in films including The Wrestler and High Fidelity but he has now signed on the dotted line to take on the character of a mortuary owner in Lilyhammer, which tells the story of a former mob boss who has been placed in the Witness Protection Program in the titular Norwegian town.
The series stars Springsteen’s E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt in the lead role and Rolling Stone reports that the rocker filmed his scenes for the show’s third season in New York this month.
