Cheryl got a cheeky text from Liam live on radio and we don’t know what to think

Can you IMAGINE?

Yesterday Cheryl appeared on BBC Radio 1 with Nick Grimshaw to talk about her return to music with new hit, Love Made Me Do It.

The thirty-five-year-old looked fantastic in her signature laid-back style. She sported a stylish pair of black joggers, teamed with a denim shirt and black sock boots.

And it wasn’t just her style that was cool, Cheryl remained very collected during an awkward moment on air.

She received a text while in the studio from the person we’d least expect – her ex-boyfriend, Liam Payne!

According to The Irish Mirror Liam sent Cheryl a bold text saying, “play my song, aha”.

And being the good sport she is, Cheryl requested that Nick play Polaroid, Liam’s latest hit. When the radio host asked if Liam was enjoying the show Cheryl revealed:

“Yeah he loves it. Says we’re hilarious and this should be a permanent thing.”

Cheryl and the One Direction star announced their split in July — just 16 months after the birth of their son, Bear, but it seems as if the pair are amicable.

Twenty-five-year-old Liam took to Twitter earlier this month to congratulate Cheryl on her return to music:

The friendly relationship may have come as a surprise to fans, as while she didn’t name Liam in the song, Cheryl did reference ex-lovers in her lyrics just months after splitting with Liam. Her new song contains the lyric:

“Oh my God, I’m such a sucker. I fall in love with every f**ker. Oh no I won’t apologise.”

We’re delighted the two are on good terms, however. There’s nothing like a bit of positivity.
