Cillian Murphy’s latest career move isn’t one you’d guess but, we’re intrigued

Random but exciting, right?

The Peaky Blinders star is trying out pastures new.

Firstly, he’s not closing doors on acting – phew, but he’s certainly expanding the ole’ CV by taking up a new role as radio DJ.

Taking over for Guy Garvey during his hiatus on BBC’s 6 Music station, Cillian will be filling the Sunday slot from March until the summer.

But this move isn’t one that’s too foreign for the Red Eye star as he was once rock musician before taking to the screen and so, we’re sure his passion for music will be very fitting once he takes to the airwaves.

Speaking about the new role, Cillian spoke to the Independent saying:

“As a music lover, mixtape obsessive and long-time 6 Music fan I couldn’t be more chuffed to be asked to sit in for Guy on his hiatus.

“His show has been a constant companion for me and my family on Sunday afternoons for many years now, and it will be an honour to pick the tunes in that slot for a while.”

An exciting new move – we’ll never say no to more Cillian anyways, that’s for sure.
